The 11001 error message is 'Host not found'.  This means that AB Tutor is trying to find the actual IP address of the remote machine from the computers name.

This may happen if you are launching AB tutor and selecting a 'Classroom Group'.  When you do this, the names you entered for the Computer names in that group are just added to the Tutor list.  When you then connect to that machine, the tutor program asks your network to supply the IP address associated with that computer name.  If the IP address cannot be given, then you will get the 11001 error.

You can confirm this by doing the following:

1. On the tutor machine, select the 'Start' menu followed by 'Run'

2. Type 'cmd.exe' and press OK

3. Type 'ping ' and press return (where is the name of one of the remote machines that AB tutor is giving the error for)

4. Now type 'nslookup ' and press return

Both of these commands shown bring back the actual remote machines IP address.

If not then you will need to seek help from your network administrator on this.
