The following lists the system requirements for AB Tutor Control:
Operating system:
Microsoft Windows ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, Windows 7
(AB Tutor Control v 6 client will work with Windows 98, but some functionality may not be available.)
Internet Explorer 4.01 service pack 2 or above.
Hardware Requirements – tutor program:
- Pentium III or greater
- 64MB RAM
- 10MB free disk space
- SVGA video minimum
- 10BaseT or higher network card

- Pentium III or greater.
- 64MB RAM
- 1MB free disk space
- SVGA video minimum
- 10BaseT or higher network card
No special requirements are necessary to run the AB Client in a Windows Terminal Server environment. Any system that supports normal Windows Sessions are supported (e.g. Citrix, nComputing)
Network and access:
- TCP/IP and UDP network protocol running Windows Sockets 2.0, using static or dynamic IP addresses
- TCP and UDP port 5151and an alternate port, 5152, must be available and not blocked by firewalls etc. (See Appendix II)
- Multicast option enabled in all routers and firewalls if computers are situated on different subnets and if you want to connect over a wireless network.
- Unrestricted access to the Internet for registration and licensing. You must make sure the domain names www.abconsulting.com and www.abtutorcontrol.com are not blocked and that you do not allow any filters to restrict access to these sites.
