so we can open programs on a pupils machine, but would be good if we could open up a document or presentation or spreadsheet for them to save and edit..

Sorry for not posting a reply sooner!

You can. Instead of specifying the program name to run, you just specify the full file and path name to the Doc, Excel or presentation file (located on the remote machine). Then the application associated with this file type will be used to open that file. If the file does not exist on the remote client, you can use the [b]Send Files [/b]command to send the document to all selected machines before opening it.
