| I teach a CISC215 class (Computer Science II) and use ab tutor quite frequenty for my lessons. I recently came across a student of mine that, during class, had downloaded a trial copy of ab tutor from somewhere, installed it and used it to reboot my computer. Since then the tech team password protected ab tutor connections, which is fine, but I am still a little uneasy that someone can do it again, or something worse like spy on my computer while they are having lab time. How easy would it be for someone to find out the password, download another copy and do that again on version 4.0? |

| If you have a dedicated workstation, you could remove/disable the AB Client service on your computer. |

If you do not use 'Connection Passwords' then this can happen. We try to verify the identity of anyone who tries to download the software to prevent students getting access to the trial software, but you can imagine that it's not that difficult to get hold of a copy from other sources! We are not going to give away anything to do with passwords in the system, but rest assured that all passwords are 128bit encrypted and so are very difficult to crack.
