We are at present trialing your sofware. I work for a large college and will be looking to use your software on approx 600 pcs if we purchase the software.
There are a couple of problems that we are encountering at present. We were wondering if you could help with solve.
These are the errors we get:
Unable to resolve host by name: The handle is invalid||(6)
Unable to resolve host by name: No more results can be returned by WSALookupServiceNext.||(10110)
The bottom one is the one we have most often!
I tried to attached a screen shot of the screen we get in AB Tutor Control but you only allow a file size of 25KB which i can get down to!!!.
The number of computers that get this errors literally changes everytime we click connect! Last time it was Computer Found 92, computers connected 72.
We've tried to replicate this problem without success. However we suspect it may be due to the fact that you are connecting to and monitoring a very large number of clients at once (more than 70!). Plus it seems that other Tutor Control programs are simultaneously connecting to equally large numbers of clients on your network. Although this should be possible, we feel that network resources may be being pushed to the limit.
We would like to hear if anyone else has encoutered this problem.
I am working with a large middle school and having similar problems. I have two labs of 40 computers each that have no problems. I have a third lab of 40 computers that will only connect 2 of the clients. I can find no major differences between the setups. Could there be something running in the background that messes with the connectivity?
