We are having some connection issues. All machines will connect fine at some point. It is just that periodically we will not be able to connect to these same machines. It is never an all or none situation, just when we turn on ABTutor, some machines just will not connect.
We try to reboot but still no connection. Then after a reboot sometimes it will connect but we didn’t do anything different. Usually the longer we leave them off (like a couple of days) the better chance we have of it connecting when we turn it back on.
The error message we depends on the machine. Some machines tell us “Unable to connect to host: The attempt to connect timed out without establishing a connection (10060)” while others say “Unable to connect to host: The attempt to connect was rejected (10061)”.
It gets frustrating because at any given time we might only be able to see half our machines. What makes the least amount of sense to me is why it can connect one day but not the next, but we didn’t do anything to the computer, not even a reboot. All we did was close ABTutor then start it up again.
What can we do so that all machines will connect all the time without these error messages? |
