This will be due to your DNS server not synchronising with your DHCP server. When AB tutor control tries to connect to a machine it first has to ask your network for the remote machines IP address given the machines name. The DNS server looks up the name and then returns the IP address assign to that name by the DHCP server.
A few tests you can do are:
- launch the 'command prompt' on the Tutor machine (Select Windows 'Start' - 'Run' and enter 'cmd.exe' )
- type 'ping ' and press return (where is the name of one of the remote machines that AB tutor is giving the error for)
- type 'nslookup ' and press return
Both of these commands shown bring back the actual remote machines IP address.
Now goto that actual machine, logon and open the 'command prompt'. Type 'ipconfig' and press return. This will show you the true IP address assigned to that machine. They should all be the same.
You will need to seek the help of your network administrator to synchronise the DNS server with the DHCP server.
