We upgraded to Version 5 and applied an application block. The client crashed saying that critical services had been shutdown and the system restart. The system can?t now be accessed as the services required to logon get stopped and I can?t reconnect to the client with ABTC to override.
Sorry, but we've found a bug with the new Web Blocking function added in v5 that causes the problems you been having.
You are going to need to update AB tutor Control to version 5.0.8 + all the version 5 clients.
- Please logon to your LMS account and re-download the latest version 5.0.8 (released 26th Sep 2007)
- de-install your old version 5 Tutor installation and re-install version 5.0.8
To Update the clients:
- Launch the new AB Tutor v5
- Connect to all version 5 clients
- Select 'Tools' - 'Client Maintenance' and select 'Check for Older Client Programs'
- Press and hold the 'Ctrl' key and then select OK (this will force a remote update)
You shouldn't need to reboot the clients (but if you have problems try rebooting)
