Smaller schools still need effective classroom management options...
Wraysbury Primary School identified that when teachers had a whole class in the ICT Suite, they often needed to stop the class working to explain an element of the lesson or a key learning point. It is difficult to make sure all the children are listening and focused, rather than continuing with their work. And even more difficult to keep an eye on 30 computers at once to make sure all children are on task!
When working with the Reception and Infant children viewing a website - they found it was very time consuming to go around all computers to input the website URL.
The school has 290 pupils and 11 teachers supported by 12 support staff. They have an ICT Suite of 30 computers.

Significant time savings and fantastic results
The school has feedback that they are delighted with their purchase and think AB Tutor Control is"fantastic!".
In particular, they really value the ability to be able to quickly get the children's attention and lock all the PC's at once, instantly focusing the class on what the teacher is saying.
Being able to launch the website URL from the teacher's machine has resulted in significant time savings and ensures that pupil's don't get distracted or frustrated by lengthy delays, while 30 machines boot up or launch an application.
By using AB Tutor Control to launch a URL, this saves up to 25% in time for an infant lesson. As we all know, URL's are often very long strings and frustratingly a single incorrect letter means the URL won't work. They have found that being able to launch all computers to a URL at once is a brilliant feature - and certainly much easier than typing in the URL 30 times!
The school has also found that by using the Thumbnail View option on an intelligent white board (IWB), the teacher can keep a close eye on what all the children are doing at the same time. Using AB Tutor Control also enables them to demo a lesson to the whole class on the IWB, from one child's computer.
"AB Tutor Control makes it easy to spot those who need more help (often the ones too timid to ask) and gives the teacher confidence and time to help them, knowing they can see at a glance that other children are on task.
The children love to see their work displayed and positively glow with pride when their work is shown as a good example to the class.
Without AB Tutor Control this would only be possible by having 30 children crowd around 1 computer."
